Begun in 1893 the Royal Bahamas Police Force
Band has become the State Band and for many
years was a pioneering cultural ambassador the
this country beginning with the band’s first international
trip to Las Vegas in the 1964.
Since then the Band has appeared on international
television and is called upon to perform at
every State Occasion.
The Band owes its strength to the faith of a
Commissioners of Police who believed in
the power of the Band to transform
the Force and provide the
colour and pageantry
of State.
